Procedures in the event of a suspected infection with COVID-19.

If a guest notices the characteristic symptoms of infection, such as persistent cough, malaise, breathing difficulties, he/she should not be allowed to enter the building.

They should be instructed to report to the nearest isolation ward as soon as possible in order to consult a doctor. They should get there by their own means of transportation or by calling 999 or 112.

If a guest stays in a hotel / hotel complex / guest house – it is necessary to temporarily isolate the guest in a dedicated room, notify an emergency medical dispatcher of the suspected infection and report the incident to the facility management to enable the staff to determine the area where the guest was moving and staying, conduct routine cleaning in accordance with the facility’s procedures, and disinfect frequently touched surfaces (door knobs, handrails, handles, etc.).

A list should be made with employees and other guests (if possible) who were present at the same time in part / parts of the building as the guest. The guests and employees should be instructed to follow the Chief Sanitary Inspector’s guidelines available at gov.pl/web/koronawirus/ and gis.gov.pl concerning people who have been in contact with an infected person.

It is necessary to suspend the reception of guests, notify the local District Sanitary and Epidemiological Station and closely follow recommendations and instructions.
